Prophecies and Visions |  The following prophecies or messages in tongues and interpretation presented in video, audio, or in written form are examples of the Spirit of God communicating to us today through spiritual gifts. I encourage you to view, listen to, or read them, and to weigh them carefully in your heart. Compare them to God's written word, and apply in your life the exhortations given in these inspired utterances if you believe the Lord is speaking to you through them. | My Position: In the Charismatic and Pentecostal branch of Christianity, to which I belong, we believe that the Holy Spirit still manifests His thoughts to us through the revelation and utterance gifts listed in I Corinthians Chapter 12. However, since the cannon of Scripture is complete, we do not believe these inspired utterances or divinely-given experiences are equal to Scripture. | April 29, 2011: At the beginning of the sermon I preached at the 2011 H.I.M. Ministers meeting, the Holy Spirit came upon me, and inspired me to speak and act out this prophetic parable with the assistance of the Rev. Dean Remmers of Kaufman, TX. Elizabeth Pruitt-Sloan gives the following message in tongues, while pausing to give the audience instructions, then Brother Mel interprets the message in tongues. One of the most beautiful manifestations of prophecy the Lord has ever given Brother Mel occurred a couple of months ago at the annual Helping Inspire Ministries Annual Convention. We have obtained a copy of the prophecy, and attached a picture to it.
The video begins with Rev. Doyle Tucker leading the convention in "How Great Thou Art." When this song concludes, Brother Mel speaks out a prophecy under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit that has been entitled, "Flawless Perfection." After the prophecy, the Holy Spirit inspires Brother Tucker to lead everyone in a spiritual song that comes into his spirit at the moment.
