For Such A Time

As This...

     There is a tremendous move of God going on at present that to my knowledge, no national Charismatic or Pentecostal leader is aware of.

     God in His sovereignty caused many of the old Pentecostals to be recorded, and He hid those recordings and is bringing them forth in our day.  The Goodwin recordings for instance, were put in storage at the time of Dad Goodwin's death.  Afterwards, numerous people tried to persuade Mom Goodwin to release the recordings to be copied and distributed.  Mom would hear none of it.  She would simply reply, "It is not time."

     I spoke with F.F. Bosworth's granddaughter recently.  She told me that hundreds of her grandfather's sermons were recorded and that she has those recordings.  Upon Bosworth's death in 1958, they were put in storage.  The Lord lead her about a year ago to get the recordings out.  She is having them transferred over to CD, and is writing a biography of her grandfather, and the CD's and biography will be released to the public next year.

     I am in contact with a Sister who has old recordings of Howard Carter and Stanley Frodsham that she is collecting to give to me.  These were put in storage upon her father's death 22 years ago, and are soon to be heard over this site.

     The recordings of David Du Plessis, affectionately known as Mr. Pentecost, have come to me, and we have put them on this site.

     Soon we will have recordings also of Clara Grace, a prophetess of which Brother Hagin thought highly.

     And there are other recordings I am not at liberty to write about, that we are seeking permission to host on this site.

     Now I hear of a book written by Tom Welchel.  As a young man in the 1960's, he came across some of the saints who had attended the Azusa Street Revival as children.  They were seniors by this time and living in a retirement center known as Mount Pisgah.  He spent six years sitting at their feet, listening to them recount their stories.  They told him to hold these stories in the 1960's and not to write about them for years yet, because William Seymour and other Azusa leaders had prophesied back around 1910, that God would give another Pentecostal Outpouring--even greater than the one they had experienced, around the turn of the next century, when we entered into the 2000's.  Brother Welchel believed the time had finally come, and has put the stories into a book "They Told Me Their Stories," which is available from the publishers website here.

     I do not know Brother Tom Welchel, but I have read his book, and found it to be a great blessing.  I include a link on this site, not to sell someone's book--we sell noting over this website.  But I include it so that you can look over the book and order it if you so desire.

     Brothers and Sisters, it is as though the great cloud of Pentecostal witnesses are speaking to us, and into us again, urging us to take hold of God in a way even greater than they did.  God is clearly doing something mighty.  Hallelujah!

     I believe that the "time" Sister Goodwin spoke of, the time about which Wigglesworth and Azusa Pentecostal prophesied is at last upon us.  

     For such a time as this, these recordings were made, and are being rediscovered.
