               "In attending Sister Elizabeth's
monthly meetings, you have the opportunity
to sit under the ministry of a woman of God
with a remarkable anointing.  Elizabeth
attended  Aimee Semple-McPherson's church as a child, ministered with  Lydia Burke, Billye Brim and others.  She learned also from Kenneth Hagin Sr.  and Sister Goodwin.  Half Word of Faith and half Pentecostal--so to speak--Rev. Elizabeth Pruitt-Sloan strikes the right balance between the teaching of faith and the moving of the Holy Spirit.  I never miss attending her meetings if my schedule permits."

The Vision of H.I.M.:

To connect with, mentor, and encourage all ministers, especially those that are just beginning their public ministry.

Most ministry associations will accept you for ordination and membership only if you are in ministry full time.  Other ministry associations are just ordination mills, cranking out ordinations to anyone and everyone, existing only to take your money and give you a meaningless piece of paper.

Finding a ministry association that is the right fit for you, is challenging.  Years ago, Mel was a member of a large Word of Faith ministry association.  His name was in their directory, but they couldn't care less whether or not he actually succeeded in ministry.  In 13 years of membership, Brother Mel never had a phone call returned by the ministry association's main office and none of the regional directors ever contacted or made any effort to meet him.  For 20 years Mel asked numerous ministers--some of them well-known and well-connected--if they knew of any non-denominational Charismatic ministry association he could join that would actually return phone calls.  They all said they knew of no such organization that independant ministers could join.

How does a man or woman of God who is just beginning their public ministry, acquire legitimate ministry credentials and find fellowship in an organization that cares about them?

One option is to join the orgainzation that Brother Mel is ordained through, which is Helping Inspire Ministries (H.I.M.)  If you are looking for a spiritual home for your ministry, click on the link below to view the membership packet which details H.I.M.'s vision and includes our handbook, requirements for joining, policies, and membership application:

H.I.M. Membership Packet

If our vision appeals to you, you are welcome to print out the H.I.M. Membership Packet, fill out the application form, and you can be considered for membership in H.I.M.  Membership is not automatic.  But rest assured, we look for ways to draw ministers in, not for excuses to keep them out.

You are also welcome to e-mail any questions to H.I.M.'s President Sister Elizabeth or to Mel Montgomery at:

Sister Elizabeth at:   pruitt-sloan@att.net

Mel Montgomery at:   mail@brothermel.com

H.I.M. is experiencing great growth.  Nearly every one of Sister Elizabeth's monthly Holy Spirit meetings doubles now as an ordination service in which we license, ordain, or receive new members.

Currently the majority of H.I.M's members are located in the states of:  Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Texas, Minnesota, Florida, New York, and others are scattered around the USA.  H.I.M. is  located in, and is primarily focused on, the United States.  We are steadily expaning into other countries, but at this time we consider applications from outside the USA on a case by case basis.

We invite you to come and join our spiritual family!

Video Channel:

I have found conversations and times of fellowship with Gil Howard Browne to be a great blessing to me.  He is used of the Lord in a revivalist-refreshing anointing.  He travels the world bringing Holy Spirit refreshing to multitudes.  He is the real deal.  I have asked him to be a recurring guest on our podcasts, and he has agreed to do so.  Here is a link to the most recent audio podcasts.

Some of Gil's meetings have been videotaped, and he offers them through a video channel 24 / 7.  You can click on the link below, any time of the day or night, and watch a video of Gil teaching or leading praise and worship.  (The video begins with a 15-second secular commercial).  These videos will really bless you:

Books I Recommend:

"God's Generals Vol. III--The Revivalists"

By Rev. Roberts Liardon

In this volume Roberts Liardon chronicles compelling spiritual biographies of some of the most powerful preachers ever to ignite the fires of revival. Follow the faith journeys and lives of the great generals of God . . .

Roberts Liardon goes beyond history, drawing crucial life application and inspiration from the lives of these mighty warriors . . .

"Brother Roberts contacted me a couple of years ago and offered his help on research into Pentecostal history.  In our phone conversations and e-mails, he has been an invaluable resource.   Although our schedules have not permitted us to meet yet in person, we plan to do so eventually.  I'm glad to recommend his new book.  All of Brother Roberts' books and videos are always excellent.  I think this volume will educate and inspire you."

"Pentecostal Pioneers Remembered"

by Keith Malcomson

Here is a story long untold and mostly forgotten, of faith, power and glory.

This book commemorates the 100th Anniversary of the Pentecostal Movement in Great Britain & Ireland, 1907-2007. Herein is the story of the Men, the Movement, the Message and the Miracles that became known as the Pentecostal Movement. These testimonies are timeless, powerful and stirring but sadly most of these pioneers have long disappeared from the sight and remembrance of the church.

This book by my friend across the waters has blessed me immeasurably.  It tells in detail the life stories of Stanley Frodsham, the Jeffreys Brothers, John and Howard Carter, Smith Wigglesworth, and many others.  It will fill in many gaps in your knowledge of Pentecostal Church History, and stir your soul.  (I do not accept advertising on this website, so when I mention a book it is because I believe it to be a blessing).--Brother Mel
