In this recording, which was made in Howard Carter's last year of life, we have the opportunity to hear how Brother Carter taught on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This recording was donated to us by Becky Britton-Volz and is from the archives of her father's church.

Some of you are new to this website, so I wanted you to know that there are a number of teaching articles that I've written on the Holy Spirit, Prophetic Ministry, speaking in tongues, and areas where we need Reformation. Also, although we carry the recordings of numerous anointed men and women of God, our primary focus in hosting recordings is to expose to believers the wonderfully balanced ministry of Brother and Sister Goodwin. A Closing Word:
I have received recently a number of e-mails from Christians and even ministers who are deeply discouraged with the state of affairs in Charismatic circles. Many are tired of the hype, the hysteria, and the continual shake-down for money. Some have even said that their own ministries, callings, and giftings are like a candle that flickers with less and less light to the point where it is almost out. I understand.
I have responded to these e-mails privately, of course. But I want to add in this newsletter that if this describes you too, don't let your light go out! If you are disillusioned with many of our national Charismatic leaders right now, your discerning is not as off as you may think it is. Much of it is nonsense. And I say with all seriousness that if Wigglesworth, Carter, and others could see the state of affairs in Christianity today, not only would they roll over in their graves, I believe they would come back from the dead and to rebuke it.
Do you realize, that in a sense these great men and women of God HAVE come back from the dead? They have done so in these long-lost recordings, and we are hearing in their own words the Pentecostal message of old that swept the globe with a firestorm of Holy Spirit power. Take advantage of these recordings. Listen to them and allow them to renew the vision within you.
I wrote some months back an article, "A New Pentecost?" If you haven't read it, please do so today. If you have read it, please re-read it, for another chapter in that story has just been added. I write how it is no accident that God has preserved these recordings and brought them forth at this time. Well, I didn't know the whole story when I wrote that. I have been contacted by a minister who has told me of a source where he is obtaining hundreds of additional rare Pentecostal recordings that a man has been gathering and archiving for 25 years. Many are of Pentecostal ministers of whom no recordings are known to exist. Yet this man has recordings of them, and is giving them to this minister, and he plans to share some of them with us. More from the great cloud of witnesses will be speaking to us soon, in their own words, recorded a generation or two ago to be brought forth to us today.
God is truly calling us back to our roots, and is renewing our vision of Pentecostal power. This is no time to faint. This is no time to throw in the towel. This is the beginnings of the days we have longed for. It is time to stir ourselves back up, drink again of the well of Pentecost, get renewed in our vision and callings, and take this to a hurting world.
In closing I want to say, thank you for all your e-mails and kind words. But especially, thank you for the few of you that have stepped forward to sow financially into this ministry. I won't promise you a hundred-fold return, or that all your problems will be solved if you sow into this ministry. But if the Lord has spent decades going to such lengths to preserve these recordings, move them into the right hands, putting them into modern formats and uploading them to the internet, then surely He would bless those who helped Him bring these forth to the world. According to Scripture, in the Judgment, many will rise up and say, "Thank you! I heard the Gospel . . .was filled with the Spirit . . . was strengthened . . . prayed down a revival . . . through the knowledge I gained from the recordings and articles you helped send to me." And with such gifts and fruit we know the Lord is well pleased.
