| Recording Description: This recording begins with an unusual ministry that developed at the Goodwins' church. A woman named Sister King attended there. She had been raised a Catholic and had found the Lord fully later in life. She had no knowledge of the Bible. But the Spirit of God eventually began falling on her in the services after she attended the Goodwins' church for awhile. Sister King would speak in tongues, and then interpret the message, and it would usually just be a scripture reference. This came from a woman who had no knowledge of the Bible to speak of. Sometimes when she was given a scripture reference by the Holy Spirit, she would have to check in the index of her bible to see if the book referenced was even in the Bible. When she gave a scripture reference under the inspiration of the Spirit, the church would then pause and look up the scripture reference, and it would be a beautiful addition to whatever was going on at the time. You hear Mrs. King flow in this anointing at the beginning of the service. There are many spiritual operations spread throughout Brother Goodwins' message as he gives a clear instruction on certain aspects of the functioning of the local Church. He addresses the issues of how a church is to be funded, and also the subject of meeting in home churches as compared to meeting in a local meeting assembly building. |
